Administration Order

Administration Order
An administration order is a court arrangement for people whose total debts don't exceed R50,000. The court appoints an administrator to manage your repayments — basically they collect from you and distribute to your creditors. It's recorded on your credit file, which limits new credit.

Usage Examples

"Sipho was gatvol with five different debt collectors chasing him. He had R38,000 in debts spread across loans, store cards, and a vehicle finance default. An admin order meant one monthly payment instead of juggling five, but he knew no new credit for years."

"Palesa went to the Magistrate's Court in Pretoria and applied for an administration order. Total debts: R42,000 from Takealot, Mr Price, and a personal loan. An administrator took over — creditors had to accept the new payment plan."

"The court-appointed administrator received R1,200 monthly from Tshepo, then distributed it proportionally to all his creditors. Better than the stress of being chased by mashonisas and loan sharks."
